Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) is an amorphous thermoplastic known for its outstanding optical properties. It is characterized by strength, hardness, and rigidity, and is extremely weather and aging resistant. PMMA is used, among other things, to manufacture optical elements such as eyeglass lenses, lenses, and prisms. Other applications include aircraft glazing, traffic signs, lighting, skylights, as well as bathtubs and shower enclosures.
